The idea of AAP is bigger than party or any individual
Rebels were chucked out of national executive of AAP amidst a lot of suspense over the entire issue. Kejriwal is said to have prescripted the entire drama. He knew of what was to happen. There was a lot of violence during the meeting.
The day has come when rebels like Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav have been removed from the national executive of the party. They have been instrumental in blaming Kejriwal for his authoritarian rule over the party.
A sting reveals Kejriwal's use of abusive words for his own party colleagues. But his supporters say the veracity of the sting remains to be verified. His frustration with the rebels explains this. It certainly dents the image of the party. Kejriwal is blamed for ruling over AAP with an iron hand.
An agreement with the rebels had been worked out, as per Kejriwal, but they backed out of the party. Rebels had been demanding more transparency in the party. A meeting of AAP leaders to discuss the alleged sting operation is scheduled at Kejriwal's residence.
Yadav finds himself bereft of the post of chief spokesperson of AAP, while Bhushan is no longer a member of the disciplinary committeee. Two other members saw the way out from the national executive body of the party. A voting had been conducted to decide the fate of the duo. Out of 167 members of the council, 298 members had voted for the ouster. The meeting witnessed a lot of hooliganism by those present.
The meeting ceme to an end with a very emotinal speech by Delhi Chief Ministser and party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
